Fiona started gathering ceremonial grade cacaos to share with the spiritual community in Singapore since Covid started. It is important for her to share the background of Cacao with you before you purchase or consume any.

The chocolates you buy from stores are far different from the ceremonial grade cacao. They are made with lots of processed sugar, dairy and cacao powder. The cacao butter which contains a high content of nutritional benefits is stripped off and turned into powder form. In contrast, ceremonial cacao uses 100% pure cacao which contains the rich benefits of cacao butter. Authentic ceremonial cacao also tends to be organic, vegan and ethically traded. It traditionally comes in block forms and in recent years, they have been made in coin or disc forms for easy consumption.

The core benefits of pure cacao are called Theobromine and Theophylline. It is thought that theobromine may be beneficial for people with asthma and heart diseases. Theophylline helps your lungs dilate, your airways relax and decreases inflammation. The antioxidant content called Polyphenols is also 40 times richer than blueberries. Scientists also found that the flavonoids in cacao can help to enhance the function of your blood vessels and reduce blood pressure. The properties have been linked to a lower risk of heart attack, heart failure and stroke.

Let's talk about the spiritual side of consuming cacao. You may have heard of Cacao Ceremonies becoming more common in the new age healing community. The sacred Cacao Ceremonies have been practised for thousands of years in many native cultures and rituals. It is known to help with activating our heart chakra and expanding our aura. It is a healing modality for our spiritual health. By expanding our hearts we connect deeper into our soul which guides us towards our karmic path in this lifetime.
